Sweet Mess

Sweet Mess is composed of Sylvie on Lead Vocals, Fer Lopez on Lead Guitar, Rob Watson on Bass Guitar and Michael Hayes on Drums. Sylvie, Michael and Rob are all friends and know each other from the Phoenix music scene for several years. They found Fer from his Bandmix ad and he just fitted right in with everyone.
Sweet Mess has primarily been a tribute to female rock legends like Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Blondie, Lita Ford and several others. They began to write their original music inspired by Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, The Warning and Paramore to name a few.
"Midnight Knows my Name" is a song about not being able to fall asleep and all the things that go through your mind that keep you from falling asleep. It was written about Sylvie in particular but it seems to be a common thing for other women as well.The musical peice has strong vocals with a catchy title and chorus and  definately something a lot of people can relate to in many ways, not just trying to sleep. The recording was done in Phoenix, AZ at Mind's Eye Studio with Larry Elyea as the recording engineer.They recorded three songs in their entirety in one all day session and this is one of those 3 songs.
Sweet Mess have played steadily in Phoenix rock venues for several years as a tribute band. They keep doing that but will now include their original music as well in their shows. They have opened for some notable bands over the years such as Great White, Insane Clown Posse, Love/Hate, Missing Persons and Atomic Kings.
This is the first song of several original songs they'll be doing over the next few months. They are currently having a great time now doing their own music after paying tribute to the female legends for several years.
Conclusively, Sweet Mess is just a group of friends in a band having a lot of fun playing music and they want to share that experience with our current and future fans!
