Joshua Elyashiv well known by the band name SHIV is an author, musician and songwriter from the United States. Initially, he was heavily influenced by blues and jazz, however, his music has developed into a form of its own, with a genre that might be best described as "Soulgrunge." It integrates the vocal styles of Chris Comell and the sophisticated rock sound of Led Zeppelin. It pays homage to the poetic lyricism of Shinedown, Alice in Chains, The Doors and Pearl Jam. Most notably, it plays with melodies, unexpected chord structures, and showcases their stunning vocal power and agility - all of which can be found in spades when listening to their latest EP, What I Know.
