Brief info
Magnus Rane (formerly -Magnate-) is a London-born Texan musician who architects immersive, mind-searing soundscapes—fusing SynthPop, Rock, Metal, Country, Synthwave, Trap, and EDM. He gained so much popularity on the music scene thanks to his debut track "Covenant" which went viral on TikTok surpassing 1,100,000 views. Critics describe the song as a sonic pact of love and sacrifice, fusing synthwave’s neon pulse with industrial weight and darkwave melancholy. Espressionimusicali captured its essence perfectly: “music you dance to with your eyes downcast and your heart in your throat”. From the first distorted bassline to the climactic wall of arpeggiators, "Covenant" builds with an intensity that compels both motion and introspection.
At its core, the track is powered by lyrics of staggering devotion. Pledges such as “You know I love you, I’ll do everything for you” and “I crush myself to shelter you” rise to the unforgettable climax: “For the good of the human race / I want to see your face / filled with passion.” These words elevate the song beyond private longing, into a vow cast on humanity’s behalf-an anthem of love, sacrifice, and survival.
The global press has affirmed this resonance. Italy’s Music Reload called it a mature and complex artistic declaration. Vents Magazine hailed the song “a sonic blast from the future-past”, while Thomathy Entertainment went further, declaring Covenant “the birth of a movement… a manifesto of human rebellion in the Age of Cyborgs”. Collectively, these voices place Magnus Rane among the few modern artists capable of making electronic music feel both cinematic and epochal.
Magnus Rane leads the collective listener into a future-retro reality while rewiring nostalgia into something defiantly new. His voice moves from velvet, airy lows to soaring crystalline highs carrying lyrics grounded in the raw fuel of human experience—love, loss, defiance, and triumph.
