Interview With Glytch356
Have you always been interested in
music? What is your story and how did you start making music?
Well the hood that I came from is called
Block 13 where there was a lot of musical talents. As a teenager I started to
write and rap amongst my friends. I created an album and at that time it was on
a CD. Those were my debuts to making music. As years passed I stopped because
the lack of opportunity to get my music recorded and just before Covid I
started again with the music but instead of going to the studio, I actually
built my own home studio which were I could put out music more consistently
without any distractions and restrictions.
What are you working on now? Any future
releases we can look forward to?
With me you can always expect music being
put out consistently at least every week. Been doing that for years, at times I
even put out 3 to 4 songs out in one day. It’s very easy for me to make music
because of the passion I have for it and what it makes me feel by listening to
my own creation.
What Is Your Ultimate Goal In The Music
Industry?
I want to be heard around the world maybe
even get a fair record deal but most importantly I wanna tour and create music
with big names in the industry but not just rap but with other genres.
What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In
Your Career Thus Far?
My biggest challenge at the moment is
getting my music to a wider range of audience and a chance to make something of
myself which can impact lives in the most positive ways known to man.
How do you go about writing a song? Do
you have a melody in your head and then write the other music for it or what’s
Your typical songwriting process?
For me melody comes first, then the chorus
and then comes the verse. Majority of the times in that sequence.
How do you feel the Internet has
impacted the music business?
Both in a positive and negative way I would
say. How so? let me explain. Positively it helps independent artists like
myself to create our own music and submit it to the world without any
restrictions or somebody overseeing what where doing. Fastest way to let the
world hear our story. Now negatively is hard for a talented artist like myself
to navigate through the sea of all these other artists that’s trying to be
heard like myself, some are good, some are mediocre, and some are not so good.
Which can make things quite difficult.
List some famous musicians currently on
your playlist?
To be honest and I’m being the most honest
I can ever be! I only listen to myself reason being to help correct any
mistakes or help to improve my music so listeners can appreciate my musical art
form. Plus I don’t wanna be influenced by anyone styles or melodies so when you
listening to my music, you are %100 authentically listening to me without any
influences whatsoever. I’m constantly improving my music and on the kick side I
actually like my music.
What Did You Do Before You Started
Making Music?
That’s an interesting question because I’m
not really sure myself because my music just comes to me like I’m a medium or
like I’m channeling. So my songs usually hits me when I’m out and about or when
I’m doing something then I gotta quickly write it down or voice note the
melodies etc. It can actually be at any moment.
Would you have any advice for young
people wanting to follow in your footsteps?
Just be you and authentic and find your
sound not just what’s popular out there. Because people wanna hear the notes
you hover over.
If you could change anything about the
music industry, what would it be?
I think the majority of the music industry
needs to be renovated from top to bottom.
How do you feel about originality?
It’s very important to be original that’s
why I said the music industry needs to be renovated because a lot of artists is
piggybacking off of other artists sounds, and demeanour, and that’s not a way
to go. So artists now are not original, if we hold them accountable half the
industry would get cut in half and wouldn’t get the time of day.
Is there anything else we should know
about you? or Something that you would like to add?
Yes I’m also a shoe designer, my shoes are
handcrafted from Italy with premium leather very high end luxury type of shoe
wear. I create for men woman and children. Amongst other things like
accessories etc…
