Brief info

Anton Romza Jr. is a musician from small town Humenne, Slovakia, Eastern Europe. He was born 1979 and grew up in family of music and art. His father was great guitar player and showman so at only 3 years old, he already fell in love with the Slavic Folk music, Pop music, Elvis Presley, Boney M, Abba and the Beatles. This got him to start to watch music videos and learn from them.
His musical journey started the day he watched his father play from different perspective and with a big acoustic guitar. The performance influenced him a lot and Anton says ''he just knew this is what he wants to do when he'll grow up''. His father taught him first chords at the age of 6. Then he went to a musical school at the age of 8 where he mastered the guitar and double bass guitar, successfully. Anton Romza Jr. loves listening to music, he has had headphones on his ears since his school days all the way up till now. He started playing Heavy Metal in his first Band as a guitar player when he was 13. He finished college when he was 18 and went to England where he kept playing guitar mainly during parties and caught the attention of the ladies. He composed my first riffs, lyrics then started singing and making music videos. He later on started to collaborate and play with various musicians.
One day he met a professional named Ray from Sheffield, who taught him a lot about the Music industry plus how to compose music and sing. Ray was huge inspiration being a guitar player, singer, and practicing in what used to be Custard Factory (one big hall devided with a curtains for bands to practice in Sheffield in 60). He played all around Europe and Uk in 80´and 90´. He learnt so much from Ray and is very grateful for this guidance.
Anton Romza Jr says his first song took him 5 years to compose it. He got alot of support from his audience, friends and they all adviced him to make it a career. Today he is excited to share his music with Glacer FM and thankful for the opportunity to progress in more professional way.

What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In Your Career Thus Far?

After I did not know where I want to go as a Musician, playing over n over songs that were not my creation and put my guitar on the wall for a year or so and I decided to live ordinary live. At that time it was scary to make such a decision, at some point.

How do you go about writing a song? Do you have a melody in your head and then write the other music for it or what’s Your typical songwriting process?

Like I mentioned before, first song took me 5 years of composing. It started with a Riff sitting on the coach. Name came later. I played it over and over, start adding Bass Line, Solo Guitar Line, finish with Lyrics that was really challenging. Then I met my new Portuguese friend Ricardo at the time playing on the Piano, and assist him to do line on Piano too. It was just spot on, I loved playing it over and over. It just sounded great Guitar-Piano. With this important point of adding Piano to the song it actualy took 7-8 years to finish the song.

After this experience of going through whole song creation,

Inspiration-song,

(INSPIRATION- BEING IN SPIRIT) I have a period where I make song in the flow, within few afternoon hours. I am just a vehicle anyway.
