Venrez is comprised of Ven on lead vocals (as he is known to his friends), Jason Womack on guitar and backing vocals who has played with such acts as Fuel and Juliette Lewis and the Lick’s, Victor Singer on drums who brings a monstrous sound and Gabe Maska on bass who has become a fixture on the Sunset Strip playing many of The Sunset and Ultimate Jam shows. Venrez was formed in 2009, and the detractors were everywhere. Now, a decade later, Venrez has self-released 4 well-received, well-reviewed LPs (Sell The Lie, American Illusion, Children Of The Drones and Element 115), toured the world numerous times with legends such as Alice Cooper and Slash as well respected and established bands like Buckcherry, Fuel, Hardcore Superstar, Michael Schenker, and punk legend Richie Ramone, and won a global following on their own terms by doing it the hard way, sweating it out in front of packed houses the world over.

Dealing with the pandemic which has delayed about everything we seek to accomplish.

I believe it has been huge in allowing the masses to hear music from great bands who are not on commercial radio.
List some famous musicians currently on your playlist
I listen mainly to those who inspired me as a song writer: Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison and John Lennon although I really love the singer/songwriters of the late 60’s and the rock bands of the 70’s and 90’s. My favorite new band is The Black Angels.
What Did You Do Before You Started Making Music?
I have done many things prior to the band forming in 2010. My main gig other than music is executive production and production of feature films and documentary films.
Would you have any advice for young people wanting to follow in your footsteps?
Never give up your dreams and stay relentless and never listen to haters.
If you could change anything about the music industry, what would it be?
I would like to see commercial radio return to creating hits instead of just playing old hits.
How do you feel about originality?
Originality and being real are the keys to success along with having the songs.
Is there anything else we should know about you? or Something that you would like to add?
I am eternally grateful to the fans of rock n roll because without them there is no rock n roll nor career for musicians.
