Inspired by musical legends Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Tom Petty and the head-banging glory of Metallica, Mudvayne, Disturbed, Tony Galindo Rocks has been a fuel to the fire of the local music scene in the inland empire. Blending the old school with a new rock style, his twenty one years of playing music professionally has not only developed his unique sound, but it also has developed the growth of the inland empire music scene as well. Tony has performed many infamous stages all over southern California, The Glasshouse, The Roxy Theater, Whisky A Go-Go, House of Blues, The Hard Rock and the Café Hollywood.
As a force in the live music scene in the inland empire Galindo’s company “Chosen Rock Shows”, has hosted live music showcases, featuring the hottest musical talent of all varieties. Themed shows “Damn the Man, Save the Empire!” was a vehicle for local talent to actually make money for performing. “Chosen Rock Shows” has been a community based remedy to the “pay to play” live music scene that has poisoned the Southern California music scene. In Hollywood and it’s surrounding areas typical promoters have their local bands sell a unreasonable specific number of tickets to play a show with a “known act”. Tony felt responsible to look out and protect music talent. As Galindo describes “Everyone has bills and costs to live, and it can be hard to play in Hollywood, hoping for a lottery chance to meet the right people to make something happen. That is why my mission was to help people, and it still is to this day.”
“Tony Galindo Rocks” has also been responsible for the organization of many charitable events, including fundraisers for the fight against cancer, funerals, families who loss loved ones to cancer, and military veterans’ mental health. The show “The Barmat Specials” has received Congressional Recognition from the city of Montebello for helping U.S. Military Veterans who suffer PTSD, and other issues stemming from war. “Thank you for the opportunities to do good” A. Galindo
“It’s really simple, music lets me breathe, and I’ve been really fortunate to do this for so long, but the best is still yet to come….” – A. Galindo
