Henrik Hytteballe started his career playing in various rock bands and composing music for Theatre, short movies and Television.
In 2006 Henrik finished studying at The Alternative Rhythmic Conservatory in Copenhagen, with piano as his main instrument. While studying, he formed haiku releasing his first solo album haiku in 2006.
This album was followed by 2 more haiku albums that were melting ambient music and rock.
in 2009 Henrik released the album flow that is one hour of deep ambient and meditative music. flow reached a large audience dooing yoga and meditation and was re-released in 2014 by Real Music/Myndstream under the artist name The Haiku Project.
The Haiku Project continued making ambient, electronic music for Real Music/Myndstream and flow was followed by Glimpses in 2016.
The Next album Nebula (2017) was a collaboration between The Haiku Project and Danish singer Sara Grabow.
The Haiku Project´s 4th album Life was released in 2019.
July 2020 came the 5th album Gratitude,
Right now Henrik is working on new music for The Haiku Project as well as his more electronic project called ARANY.
Besides making music, Henrik Hytteballe has been painting abstract paintings for 40 years and have had many exhibitions through the years.
