Mackenzie Lee Clement ( born in Winchester Ma., February 25, 2002 and proud to share a birthday with the late Beatle, George Harrison ). Mackenzie is an American, theatrical, blue-eyed soul singer, songwriter, pianist, activist that has been performing and supporting good causes and charities since the age of 6. She draws her style from multi genre artists of classic music from 60’s -90’s. The interested genre is blues, rock, pop,soul, jazz, with a touch of classical piano. Very first influences were The Beatles ,Pat Benatar, and Muddy Waters, not the usual kids music.
Trade Mark Vocals are considered to be coloratura mezzo-soprano , explained is being a mezzo-soprano with an extented warmer lower register. Mackenzie’s vocal range cuts through 4 octaves and starts in baritone range Low B3 through the entire saprano octave into the tenor high F5 and higher into the falsetto range with ability to sustain those long powerhouse belts. Bonnie Hayes ( songwriter to Cher, Bonnie Rait, David Crosby) says ” She has a beautiful voice that she can effortlessly escalate from very low to very high and back very quickly”. Other musical influences come from personal relationships interactions with fellow teachers and students in social networks while attending studies at Berklee music college.

With over 500 stage performances Mackenzie Lee Clement has been recognized as a non run of the mill perormer, getting her invited to competitions all over New England . Mackenzie was nominated for a National songwriter of the year award and Best Original song ( The Dealer ) by SSA or America. Performed for New England sings to a sold out show at Ogunquit Playhouse Maine. Youngest performer to perform to the National Chic Singer night at the noteable Johnny D’s. featured artist for Boston winter for the City and Mayor Marty Walsh. Recent awards Kiwanis Idol 2019 winner , Hosted by Phantom Gourmet and WGBH Boston, 2019 Boston Sings winner, and 2020 Boston Songriffic winner, and best original composition Hard Rock Boston. Mackenzie regularly busks in Harvard & Brattle square, Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market.
Supporting good causes, Mackenzie gives support in performance to Boston’s Race Amity bringing awareness and a new state law holiday bringing conversation to equality to all races in the city and beyond. Mackenzie knows the power of music and uses it to raise money for cancer research, Puerto rico hurricane relief, Mothers Take Action ( gun control ) and rockers against bullying. Most memorable performances began with Robin Lane of celebrity mtv’s band Robin Lane and the Chartbusters, Opening for Beatle Juice in Newburyport Ma, and opening on the Hampton Beach halfshell to a packed house. Other memorable venues include The Wang Thearter, Chavalier Theater, RedSox clubhouse, Boston City Hall, Johnny D’s,Gillette Stadium , The DCU Center , TD Garden, The Paridise, Ogonquit Playhouse. When not playing a scheduled show or event you’ll find her performing on the streets of Boston in Harvard square or Boston Fanuel Hall.
